The conference of major religious superiors of Sri Lanka
The Conference of Major Religious Superiors is a permanent Organization of Religious Institutes of Consecrated Life, and Societies of Apostolic Life of Sri Lanka, established under the name of “Conference of the Major Religious Superiors” (CMRS) by the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life in accordance with Canons 708 and 709.
The aim of the Conference is to promote and work of Religious Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life by helping them to further their activities on a broader scale than they can achieve them individually.

Today there are 54 member Congregations in CMRS. The 54 Major Superiors represent 3,385 professed men and women religious. The CMRS Secretariat is situated at the De La Salle Provincialate compound in Mutwal. The members meet four times a year for quarterly meetings. The CMRS has two committees: Committee for Religious Formation (CRF) and Committee for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (C-JPIC)
